Form of workKings Super Markets has an exciting opportunity for Cooking Studio Assistants in our Short Hills location. Cooking Studio Assistants can enjoy working in a beautiful studio, recipe sampling and absorbing fantastic knowledge from our professional chefs as they assist with the demonstration of Cooking Studio classes.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Interest in working with professional chefs to prepare dishes
- Exemplary performance and attendance record
- Flexible schedule - a commitment of at least 3 sessions per week are required
- Evening/weekend availability required - anticipated shifts from 4:00-7:00 PM
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills required
- Passion for developing relationships with our customers
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up the workstations by placing ingredients and equipment where accessible
- Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment, no level of sophistication required
- Responding to the needs and requests of the chefs
- Interact with guests attending Cooking Studio classes and assist as needed
- Maintain sanitation standards for the classes and the kitchen
- Standard administrative tasks, such as recording class attendance, private party balance settlement, reporting class activity to studio management, alerting office of necessary supply orders
