JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for food preparation according to a preplanned menu. Ensures that food is prepared according to standardized recipes and presented attractively. Maintain sanitary conditions throughout meal preparation and serving. Ensure that foods are cooked, served and stored at the proper temperatures. Ensure that proper items and portions are served according to residents prescribed diet.
JOB TASKS:
1. Obtain food and supplies needed for meal.
2. Serve meals according to preset schedule.
3. Maintain a clean work environment at all times.
4. Monitor temperatures of food and document.
5. Prepare residents’ plates according to prescribed diet.
6. Prepare foods needed for meal according to preplanned menu and recipe.
7. Prepare snacks for residents according to menu.
8. Once meal service is completed, wash all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc., and put away. Clean all equipment used, stove, sinks, steam table, etc.
9. Take out any food needed to be thawed or precooked for the next meal.
10. Assist with any cleaning or set up needed for next meal to include dining room and equipment.
11. Perform all other duties as assigned by Administrator.
12. Follow all rules and regulations as set up by the State of North Carolina, Division of Facility Services and Local Health Department.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
