ResponsibilitiesJOB SUMMARY
The Cook Helper is responsible for assisting with various cleaning, maintenance, preparation, purchasing, inventory, and stocking duties in assigned areas. All duties are performed in accordance to company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area.
- Maintain solid knowledge of food products.
- Identify and safely use kitchen equipment.
- Regularly run for food and restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service.
- Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
- Assist the pantry worker, cook, master cook and chef as needed in execution of service.
- Work as a team, assist guests and employees with their needs and inquiries.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six (6) month experience in basic food preparation
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Health Card
- Union Referral
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to apply basic knife skills for preparation.
- Maintain a solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation.
- Communicate with management, chef and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and team.
- Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations.
- Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.
- Highly motivated and energetic personality.
