USEV has an opening for Controls Technician!
Do you have a proven work experience in advanced electrical, mechanical and computer controlled systems? Can you develop process specifications, machine parameters? Are you able to install and develop new technology PLC, HMI, visions systems, VFD & robotics?

Essential Functions:
- Design control systems for machine tools, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
- Maintain the electrical and program documentation
- Install and update software and hardware required for troubleshooting machine logic programs
- Assists and trains maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting of production equipment and the repair of electronic control equipment.
- Improve current machine tools to increase uptime, improve quality and increase productivity.
- Provides engineering support to production equipment and processes, including advising maintenance
You Know Your Stuff:
- Knowledge of programming and designing controls systems utilizing PC’s, PLCs, electrical and pneumatic components.
- Experience in writing and debugging code for AB ControlLogix, Mitsubishi, Siemens, or Omron.
- Experience with CNC or NC controls
- HMI program development experience
- Experience in hardware/panel design, motor sizing, component selection, drive system selection and programming, robotics and motion control.
- Experience with automation network interfaces for data and control (Ethernet, Profibus, ControlNet)
- Experience in machine vision setup and programming preferred (Keyence, Cognex)
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 Year Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with 2 years’ experience in manufacturing and special technical skills (preferred); or High School Diploma with 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and controls.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
