We are presently seeking a full-time Controller at our Executive Offices.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree supplemented by courses in accounting with at least five years working experience, CPA preferred or equivalent experience. Minimum of three years in a supervisory capacity. Must have good leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience with accounting software MIP Abila and/or Electronic Health Record Systems Nextgen and Netsmart preferred. Knowledge of Third-Party Reimbursements a plus. Must be system oriented and have demonstrated planning, analytical, research, writing & oral communication skills.
Responsibilities include: Provide overall leadership role for the accounting unit of the Finance Department; Responsible for all the financial records and reports of the organization and its subsidiaries which include developing, implementing and monitoring of accounting policies and administering approved accounting procedures; Function as trustee of 401K plan; Promote GPHA's vision and mission to staff, patients and the public at large; Maintain confidentiality regarding patient/client and employee information; Ensure financial records accurately reflect the corporation's financial status; Ensure Corporation adheres to budgetary constraints of various contracts; Ensure appropriate use of Corporate resources; Ensure timely deposits of Corporation's funds to bank; Establish and maintain procedures, standards, and internal controls to ensure the optimum fiscal efficiency is achieved, that funds are adequately safeguarded, and financial matters are accurately reported; Oversee the activities of the accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly and other special reports as required; and, Interface with internal, external, and governmental audit agencies during audits to ensure adherence to the terms of various contractual agreements.
Responsible for maintaining all accounting records and journal entry books; Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial reports; Responsible for participating in and developing program budgets and justifications (330 Grant, HIV Grant, CODAAP and other programs); Responsible for developing and maintaining the Finance Departments Policy and Procedures Manual.
