This role will deliver several things that traditional Accounting or Controllers don't have in their skill-sets.

Role - Hands on Controller - Title is: Controller
Ideal for a detail-oriented finance leader who will play a prominent role on the management team working closely with the CEO.
Controller will lead all facets of the Company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, inventory management, and financial analysis and planning activities.
We will consider a 3-10 year Accounting leader that is hands on and experienced, that wants to jump up in position quickly.
This is a role to wear many hats in a hands-on role ting/financial professional focusing on the further growth of the organization.
The Company operates in manufacturing, so knowledge of cost of goods / cost of processing for a specialty purpose CPG products company that crosses over into the medical healthcare industry as well. We have approximately 50 products that are costed
The Company has been in business since 1940's and we have a couple of manufacturing sites currently.
We have a goal of adding to that or merging other processes or companies into the mix, which you would play a big part in and gain from our profit sharing.
What else will I be doing ?
- Leadour complete accounting daily operations for the Company along with one other employee at the time, more to come.
- Produce the production of timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records.
- Provide a metrics of comprehensive controls and budgets designed to enhance the accuracy of the Company's reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Be willing to operate in a hands-on role to produce and assist in the day-to-day accounting procedures as well as supervising the existing bookkeeper.
- Design any necessary accounting and finance processes, including improvements around "inventory management".
- Oversee the transition of the Company’s accounting/inventory software from QuickBooks Enterprise to Excel
- Regular daily contact with outside stakeholders, investors and banks
- Lead and assemble the provision of information and reports to external auditors for the annual audit
- Work with senior management to create a schedule of relevant financial and operating metrics and key performance metrics, and maintain such metrics on a regular basis
- Create templates for cash forecasting and maintain such forecasts on a regular basis
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
- CPG costing
- Calculate any variances from the budget and report significant issues to management for actionable adjustments, if needed.
- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments
What experience do we want to see from you?
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of direct experience previously serving in the role of Lead Accountant Supervisor, Accounting Supervisor, Accounting Manager or controller with manufacturing and costing experience.
- Understanding of tax reporting requirements and experience with LLC entities is a plus.
- A proficiency in Microsoft QuickBooks
- Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking working knowledge.
- Experience with inventory management and systems implementation a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy complemented by well-developed analytical, project management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen including process orientation and strategic thinking skills.
