Controller - Group
Job Summary
The Group Controller is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the finance teams across the group.
This includes the timely preparation of financial statements and reports, development of finance personnel, maintenance of internal systems.
Responsibility
Provide monthly and yearly comparative financial information to management for planning and to foster continuous improvements.
Develop and maintain cost and profit estimates for new and existing product lines and generating monthly cost reports and trends.
Maintain and make recommendations for an adequate information system to measure financial and operational results of the plant.
Oversee integration and acquisition tasks as assigned by Director of Finance.
Responsible for onsite training
Work closely with management in directing and controlling resources.
Maintain and make recommendations regarding a system of internal control.
Co-ordinate and participate in the preparation of the five- year Annual Business Plan.
Responsible for filling the accounting manager position should they leave or be dismissed. The accounting manager position is the one that is responsible for filling the positions of those who report to them. Ensure the company's accounting computing needs including EDI are met on an ongoing basis.
Ensure statutory financial obligations including audit, tax and other Government filings are completed on a timely and efficient manner.
Academic/Educational Requirements
Bachelors Degree or Higher.
Required Skills/Experience
Minimum of five years' experience in related field.
Ability to interpret graphs displaying revenues, expenses, liabilities, and assets. Locate features of business and accounting processes in flowcharts.
Ability to analyze costs for goods and services, as well as, forecast revenue amounts and future values of assets and investments.
Ability to assess financial risks for accounting systems and business practices within company.
Ability to discuss prices, products and services and delivery arrangements with service providers and suppliers. Discuss financial information with management.
Ability to interact with others in team and act as liaison between different departments.
Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of applicable software programs.
Continuously maintain current knowledge of all organizational accounting practices through seminars, webinars and professional conferences as needed.
Working Conditions
40 hours per week
20% Travel
Monday to Friday
Hybrid Schedule
Schedule is subject to change based on discretion of department manager.

Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in McLarens geographic location including but not limited to:
ISO 45001: Health and Safety management system standard.
ISO 14001: Environmental Management system standard.
IATF 16949 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards.
