Form of work We are currently seeking a Controller for a direct hire opportunity located in Anaheim. Must have mortgage industry experience.
Pay up to $175,000 plus bonus
Responsibilities for the Controller:Will be responsible for overseeing and managing the P&C accounting department. Responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate financial processingWill review and monitor the general accounting activities for compliance, accuracy and ensuring the adhere to the accounting policies and proceduresResponsible for leading the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processResponsible for ensuring internal controls and metPrepare the statutory filingsResponsible for training and mentoring the staffResponsible for the financial reporting ana analysisWill work closely with the outside CPA to prepare audited financial statements and tax returns Ensure documentation and coordinating of new procedures
Requirements for the Controller:CPA is highly preferredBA/BS in Accounting or Finance required10+ years of full cycle GL accounting experience5+ years of supervisory experienceMust have mortgage industry experienceStrong background in leading and developing the accounting staffAbility to work well in a fast-paced and demanding environmentAdvanced Excel skillExcellent analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills
