Controller

Kelaca is looking for a Controller to work on-site for our client partner in Louisburg, NC. The Controller is a key member of our finance team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data to support strategic decision-making. Cost Accounting is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to accurately capture production costs and allocate overhead.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to monitor and control production costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic financial plans that align with company goals.
• Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Manage the financial audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives, capital investments, and new product development.
• Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cost accounting standards, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
