Primary Responsibilities:
- Sets the monthly closing schedule and coordinates the work of others involved in the closing procedures.
- Prepares the monthly financial statements for distribution to the Company’s key leadership.
- Assists in the evaluation of the Company’s internal controls and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Develops sound financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Works directly with outside audit partner to perform a timely annual financial audit.
- Prepares the monthly internal reporting package for review with management.
- Preparation/analysis of daily/weekly/monthly reports of key financial and operational metric trends.
- Ensures timely and accurate account reconciliation.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Handles Human Resource responsibilities including payroll, operating procedures and recordkeeping compliance.
- Oversees and assists with all financial activities and finance staff as required or requested by management.
- Oversees and ensures timely and accurate processing of transactions and accounting data and legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
- Partners with the Management team to develop and implement goals, policies, priorities, financial strategy, linked metrics and procedures in regard to financial and operational management.
- Minimum Requirements:
- BS degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant
- Experience in the Logistics/Transportation industry
- 8 plus years of experience in corporate accounting
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, and Cost Control principles including GAAP.
- Must have demonstrated experience in Budget preparation, Forecasting and Variance analysis.
- Must be highly motivated and have team-based management style with exposure to sales, marketing, and operations.
- Must possess excellent written, verbal and listening skills and be able to relate to all levels within the Company.
- Must be a self-starter and should also have the proven ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Must demonstrate flexibility, initiative, strong organizational, good judgment, sense of urgency and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
- High proficiency with all MS Office applications.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
