Controller

About the Role: LSP is seeking a Controller to join one of our growing teams in Pittsburg, PA for McVay Plumbing, Heating & Cooling! At McVay Plumbing, Heating & Cooling we hire the best of the best! As the Controller, you will be a critical team member who will support workstreams to advance key back-office functions and accounting objectives in the areas assigned. You will interface heavily with LSP’s Regional Accounting Team and other internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day accounting functions by owning transactional accounting within the assigned accounting area to ensure a complete, accurate, and timely monthly close process.
• Perform analytical reviews of partner income statement, balance sheet and cash flows on a monthly basis
• Develop and maintain relationships with regional accounting team; provide outstanding customer service.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support on accounting-related inquiries.
• Monitor adherence to internal Company policies, procedures, and controls.
• Ensure all Invoices and Payments from Service Titan are exported to Sage Intacct daily, weekly, and reconcile monthly.
• Reconcile and take ownership of all accounts receivable functions.
• Prepare and reconcile weekly/monthly payables.
• Prepare and reconcile weekly payroll submissions including commission and bonuses
• Review all mail received and process any invoices and payment receipts.
• Make daily or weekly cash deposits to the local branch.
• Cut checks for payables that can not be paid via credit card, or through Bill.com. i.e., permit checks.
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly including Cash, Credit Cards, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Payables, Accruals, and Prepaids
• Work closely with the Fleet Manager to ensure proper accounting treatment of all vehicle related transactions.
• Answering vendor payment inquiries
• Assist with any workers comp audits.
• Onboarding of all new hires, computer equipment, email, IT support, UKG, insurance paperwork, I9, etc.
• Other ad hoc projects as needed

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• Process oriented
• Strong time management
• Positive attitude, team player, comfortable working both collaboratively and independently
• Impeccable integrity and ethical standards
• Self-aware, accepting, honest, open, and respectful of others

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Systems aptitude with the following experience preferred but not required: Sage Intacct, UKG, Bill.com and/or ServiceTitan

$95,000 - $115,000 a year

Also eligible for bonus
