TAYS is seeking a Control-M and Senior Linux Administrator to join our dynamic team.
Opportunity:
As theControl-M and Senior Linux Administrator, you will support several projects within a federal agency. You will work within a Batch Operations Production Control division, which processes over 10,000 mainframe and distributed batch jobs daily. The ideal candidate must possess robust analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with effective communication abilities and a keen attention to detail. This environment operates on a 24x7 availability basis.
This position is permanent, W2 position and will consist of a hybrid schedule. Control-M and Senior Linux Administrator must be local to the DMV area.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install and validate software updates and patches promptly upon release from vendors.
- Assist both internal and external users in the installation and upgrading of Control-M/EM and Agents on remote workstations and servers, providing troubleshooting support when necessary.
- Collaborate with vendors to identify and resolve application-related issues.
- Ensure and monitor adherence to security compliance standards.
- Monitor server performance and oversee server maintenance activities.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify Control-M/EM infrastructure problems.
- Develop and implement scripts, utilities, and automated reports to enhance support for Control-M for Distributed Systems.
- Analyze and construct custom reports using Control-M/EM.
- Configure and monitor DASD, as well as virtualization systems.
- Execute installation, testing, and rollback plans and procedures for all software/hardware upgrades.
- Install, test, deploy, monitor, and offer support for various tools within the distributed tool suite.
- Define, document, and maintain Linux and Control-M/EM permissions.
- Provide comprehensive support for BMC Control-M scheduling software application within RedHat 7.3 virtual environment.
- Focus on Control-M security, user assistance, Control-M Reports, and analysis of the Control-M environment.
- Analyze and update RedHat Enterprise Linux deployments on SSA servers.
- Monitor and respond to relevant Nagios alerts related to Control-M via mobile devices.
- Handle PostgreSQL installation and database administration.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in Control-M/EM and Agent installation and upgrades.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- Proficient in Linux Servers administration within the Control-M/EM Distributed Tool Suite.
- Scripting expertise with tools such as SHELL, PERL, SQL, etc.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current/Active Public Trust Clearance or higher
- AWS experience
- AWS certification
- Familiarity in PostgreSQL installation and database administration.
- Experience with Windows Servers
