SAIC’s Business Enablement organization is seeking a Senior Contracts Principal to manage contracts/proposals with various Civilian Agencies . The position requires knowledge of the government contracts field and will conduct the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
This position is 100% remote nationwide.
Duties Include:
- Reviewing contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements.
- Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects.
- Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
- Develops solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
- Engage as a strategic collaborator, leveraging expertise, insights, and resources to develop and implement effective business strategies.
- Act as a liaison with the Business Enablement team supporting SAIC's Innovation Office.
- Proposal preparation; negotiation and administration of various contracts to include Cost Reimbursable (CR), Time and Materials (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and multiple Task Order contracts development; preparation, negotiation, and administration of teaming agreements and proprietary information agreements; collection and submission of data for regulatory reporting; and management of OCI Plans.
Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, and fifteen (15) years or more experience. Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, and thirteen (13) years of experience. Additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving innovation and adapting to evolving business landscapes.
- Thorough understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards in contract administration
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts, including FAR, TINA and CAS
- Cost proposal experience is required.
- Experience in contract risk management and negotiation
- Background in selling commercial services to US Federal Government is desired
- Ability to synthesize complex legal & contractual topics and communicate to internal (or external) collaborators with different backgrounds and disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Effective critical thinking skills and ability to assimilate.
- Strong organizational skill and ability to handle a fluctuating workload and multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
