Job Summary:
This position provides financial support for all research projects conducted across the Hartford HealthCare enterprise. In collaboration with the Manager of Grants and Contracts, this position provides oversight of all research project financial activities including analysis of financial data to forecast expected research expenses, corrective adjustments and future trend reporting. The position provides timely recommendations to improve results and performance related to project budgets and timelines. The role involves frequent interactions with external Federal, State and Foundation funding agencies in developing required comprehensive research financial statements, charts and progress reports.
Job Responsibilities:
Grant Submissions · Collaborates with Hartford HealthCare research investigators to prepare grant submissions to Federal, State and Foundation Agencies. · Review and negotiate project sponsor contracts · Maintenance of amendments and Contract changes.

Qualifications
- BA – Accounting and Finance required.
- 3 plus years of experience in grants and contracts administration, and 5 plus years of Financial Accounting preferred.
- 5 years in Grants and Contracts. 2 plus years in Accounting
- Experience in creating charts/tables in Excel. Ability to generate accounting spreadsheets, forecast and project financial data. Experience with financial reporting requirements. Experience with contract negotiations and preparation of Research sponsor funded budgets. Submission of external Grant applications.
