Contractor Program Security Officer (Cpso)

BlueHalo is seeking an experienced Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) with experience as a COMSEC Manager to work in a dynamic high tempo environment delivering Mission First results! This position will work as a member of a team within our Defense Security Sector. The position will implement and administer a Special Access Program (SAP) program along with emerging Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) requirements. Serve as the COMSEC Manager for the local facility and develop a corporate strategy to serve as the primary COMSEC Manager within the company.

The successful candidate will assist with development, implementation and administration of SAP/SCI security policies and procedures for classified/proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.

Have a mastery of industrial security regulations and federal security regulatory requirements of the NISPOM, DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals, DOD 5105.21 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Manuals and NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16.

In this role, you can expect to:

• Understand & established procedures for handling, storing, and maintaining records in accordance with client requirements; manage personnel and visitor’s access to restricted programs.
• Administering SAP and SCI Nomination process; tracking statuses to ensure timely submissions and approvals of packages, manage JADE.
• Manage SAP and SCI security education and annual requirements with the client; collaborate on collateral security education initiatives across the company.
• provide Foreign Travel briefings handle reporting requirements.
• Classified document control to include maintenance of logs tracking documents in transition.
• Administrative security functions required to manage secure facilities, i.e., end of day logs, safe checks, visitor logs, access control, alarm response.
• Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
• Write, implement, and administer multiple DD254s across multiple contracts and programs.
• Navigate unique aspects of the COMSEC environment and hierarchy.
• Maintain up-to-date records of COMSEC inventory and submit required accounting reports IAW policies and procedures.
• Programming and local distribution of COMSEC devices to include but not limited to; Secure Telephone Equipment (STE), Sectera vIPer Universal Secure phone, and network encryptor solutions (i.e. TACLANEs); re-key all circuits as required.
• Order, receipt, loading and management of COMSEC keying material using devices such as the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and Simple Key Loader (SKL) and other devices as necessary.
• Ensure COMSEC Element accounts are in compliance with NSA policies.
• Provide technical and administrative support to COMSEC equipment holders.
• Update and maintain the SOPs for COMSEC activities.
• Assist in properly storing, managing, and maintaining accountability within KMI on all COMSEC material and assets.

• Must have a working knowledge of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the NISPOM, DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals and DOD 5105.21 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Manuals.
• Complete required NSA COMSEC training within the required performance timelines.

• Candidate must have a current TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain SAP access(es).
• Must have 6+ years experience in Industrial Security, SAP and/or SCI programs.
• This position is a full-time onsite position in Hunstville, AL

Desired Skills:

• Successful completion of the DSS SAP Mid-Level Management Course is preferred or must be able to successfully complete this course within 1 year of employment.
• CSSO/SSO course completion.
• Completion of the ICD 705 Course
