Contracted Mental Health Clinician-Qmhp

We are currently looking for contracted Mental Health Clinicians (QMHP/QMHP-T/QMHP-E/QPPMH) in the Rocky Mount area. Applicants must either be QMHP(A/T/E) Certified through the Virginia Board of Counseling OR meet the criteria for QPPMH (Visit DBHDS to find this criteria or contact our office), prior to starting employment with Support Systems.

Job Duties

The Qualified Mental Health Professional position will consist of providing community and home based Mental Health skill building services to individuals with severe and recurrent mental illness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Plan, develop, and implement goal oriented, therapeutic services for individuals dealing with significant functional limitations and Mental Health diagnoses.

2) Coordination of activities and strategies to support assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) with the clients.

3) Monitoring of and implementation of Individualized Service Plan (ISP).

4) Inform & assist, as well as arrange for the recipient to access, and receive benefits and services within the community as well as monitor the provision of those services.

5) Must receive clinical supervision monthly, with individual face to face supervision occurring at least once a month. Group supervision may occur on the other weeks.

• Skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Organizational planning, structuring, and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast pace, high emotion environment.
• Database management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals within a diverse community.
• Ability to provide appropriate supervision for Qualified Paraprofessionals of Mental Health.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health illnesses, and appropriate methods of therapeutically improving signs and symptoms.
• Possess the ability to maintain positive working relationships with other QMHP, as well as supervisory staff.

Compensation: $40 per unit billed
