Job Summary:
H.E.L.P. (Healing, Empowerment, Learning, and Progress) Space therapy group is a start-up private group practice. We are in the process of increasing our social media presence so that the H.E.L.P. Space brand becomes more visible in the behavioral health community. In addition, we are currently seeking dedicated therapists to join our team. As a therapist, you will provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families. If you have passion for helping people and positively impacting their lives, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, couples, and family diagnostic assessments and therapy sessions
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques and interventions
- Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to determine client needs
- Collaborate with supervisor to obtain supervision if applicable
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Implement behavior management strategies as appropriate
- Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress
- Provide crisis intervention as necessary
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field
- Valid DC, MD, or VA state licensure to perform therapy OR licensure in other jurisdiction with willingness to endorse into DC, MD, and/or, VA
- Experience providing therapy is preferred
- Familiarity with the general aspects of EHR systems
- Familiarity with the ICD-9 coding system for billing purposes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
