The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services for Calm and Sense Therapy. The PMHNP will work in coordination with Calm and Sense's outpatient counseling services to provide psychiatric services to adult and youth clients with behavioral health issues. This position will be supervised externally by a psychiatrist with whom there is a Collaborative Practice Agreement established upon hire. Position Focus
- Responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients in a variety of settings during scheduled hours. Scope of services includes outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat adults, adolescents, and children experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorder.
- Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement and the state's Nurse Practice Act.
- Collaborate with counselors, social workers, or other treatment team embers to coordinate client care.
- Design/participate in the development of individualized treatment plans, incorporating best and leading practices into treatment interventions.
- Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings including case and peer reviews
Who you are
- You are certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Mental health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- You have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in New Jersey.
- You have experience in delivering high-quality, client-centered care.
- You enjoy working a hybrid contract work schedule with remote and other days in one of our four New Jersey offices (Union, Toms River, Scotch Plains, or Watchung)
- Ideal candidates will have an interest in working with a wide range of ages and specialties.
