Job Purpose
The Maintenance Contract Administrator is responsible for overall development and administration of Contract Maintenance proposals and subsequent Contracts for railroad customers around the globe. These contracts range from single-day technical support requests to multi-year Maintenance Proposals involving hundreds of locomotives across a network of shops and warehouses. This position is a critical function for increasing Progress Rail's Contract Maintenance footprint across the globe.

Key Job Elements
• Calculate and initiate the issuance of monthly invoices;
• Respond to detailed al RFPs as well as the development of unstructured proposals for all types of maintenance services;
Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to procure all necessary inputs to develop Maintenance Proposals;
• Complete cost modeling calculations required for proposal development and provide recommended pricing to Management;
• Author and issue Maintenance Proposals to customers around the globe;
• Track performance of existing contracts to ensure accurate invoicing;
• Collaborate with customer representatives to determine daily, monthly, and annual financials;
• Perform all responsibilities in accordance with "Our Values in Action, Caterpillar's Code of Conduct."
Qualifications and Experience
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying complexity;
• High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult;
• High level of interpersonal skills required to work effectively with others;
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required in dealing with internal and external stakeholders;
• Comfortable using common computer applications to perform routine tasks (SAP, MS Office);
• Ability to work independently and with others;
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines;
• Understanding of financial modeling.
Preferred:
• Basic locomotive knowledge;
• Working understanding of railroad maintenance operations;
• Proficiency in SAP.
Essential and Physical Activities Functions
• Strength - Position typically involves work in a standard office environment. Limited standing and walking;
• Motion - Position regularly requires standard repetitive motions and hand/eye coordination associated
with office communications. Constant sitting, limited walking and standing;
• Vision/Hearing Requirements - Often verbal communications, including both talking and hearing;
• Work Environment - Position is consistent with standard office environment;
• Emotional Demands - High level of responsibility; high sense of urgency. Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple issues simultaneously. Requires ability to coordinate work of a team to accomplish mission success;
• Safety - Position includes safety requirements consistent primarily with a standard office environment.
