The Warehouse Manager for Contract Logistics oversees and coordinates daily Contract Logistics Warehouse activities. Warehouse Manager is also responsible for managing warehouse and acting as the main point of contact.
- Administrative Leading and Operative steering of the warehouse
- * Steering of the warehouse under cost- and quality aspec
- * Steering- and controlling function of warehouse processes
- Responsible for all operational processes related to the management of warehouse customer specific requirements
- Optimization of process and continuous improvement projects to increase profitability and maintain the highest standard of service rendered
- Responsibility for correct maintenance of all warehouse equipment
- Responsibility for following and maintaining DACHSER ISO9001:2015 Quality System
- Responsibility for following the external and internal Safety Guide Lines
- Ensure correct staffing levels, hire the right talent and ensure proper training.
- Coordination of production involved operative units (e. g. disposition, allocation, loading)
- Implements customers business requirements and ensure execution of services sold
- Support other customers business in the US as needed
- Identify value added services, develop a process and execution as required by the business.
- Participates in joint meetings with sales staff to aid in securing new business.
- Analyzes the DACHSER Warehouse Management System MIKADO process and documents processes to be trained.
- Defines requirements and monitors the effectiveness of training programs (optionally by individual assessments).
- Checks, implements and executes relevant applications according to Project requirements.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field. (Preferred)
- 5 years of relevant professional experience in Logistics, with a focus on warehousing and Contract Logistics projects.
- Experience in conception, calculation and implementation of logistics projects.
- Distinctive competencies in project management.
- Strong leadership in a diverse environment
- High level of commercial awareness, as well as good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate assertively and cross-culturally.
- Demonstrated fluency in English (oral, comprehension and written).
