Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Permanent Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a background in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement to take their career to the next level. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence by facilitating and leading the implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Continuous Improvement Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading and managing Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Implementing Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen principles to drive process improvements and cost reductions.
3. Utilizing Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate process defects.
4. Driving the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and best practices.
5. Collaborating with the management team to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to achieve these improvements.
6. Facilitating training and workshops to educate employees about Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles.
7. Monitoring and reporting on the progress of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
8. Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans.
9. Working closely with the distribution and railroad equipment teams to ensure the seamless integration of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Continuous Improvement Manager position will have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement role within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
3. Solid knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
4. Proven experience with distribution and railroad equipment.
5. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
9. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
