Continuous Improvement Manager

The Continuous Improvement Manager will establish and maintain a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture in ABB focusing on Customer & Quality by deploying a set of CI competencies, utilizing Lean Six Sigma (L6S) as the CI methodology, and creating transparency to monitor progress using digitalization IoT (Internet of Things).

This position reports to

Manufacturing Operations Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Work with all levels of management; plant operations, engineering and quality to achieve and foster a CI culture
  • Create and maintain a digital twin of the manufacturing facility using FlexSim
  • Champion IoT with the help of ThingWorx
  • Manage Corrective/Preventive Action Program (A3) and facilitate root cause problem solving
  • Manage high impact projects related to automation
  • Maintain accurate standard routed times within manufacturing facility
  • Use L6S tools to increase productivity and efficiency in all manufacturing departments
  • Manage engineering change process (TDR) for accuracy and manufacturability

Your background

  • Associate's Degree and minimum 10 years experience
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8 years of professional experience - Required.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills
  • Preferred Experience Includes:
  • Six Sigma Green Belt - LEAN Certification - SAP and Microsoft Project - FlexSim - ThingWorx
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels
  • Self motivated and directed
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
