- Responsible for the execution of Continuous Improvement activities as directed by the Continuous Improvement manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Coordinate and facilitate kaizen teams for the Continuous Improvement of lean manufacturing processes.
· Participate in leading kaizen events among other leadership staff within the plant.
· Partner with quality assurance to ensure adherence to standards through lean manufacturing principles such as error-proofing.
· Aid manager in maintaining the Cabinetworks Group Operating System (COS) training schedule and completion for all plant personnel.
· Maintain 6S program and coordinate 6S activities throughout the manufacturing facility.
· Maintain standard work and ensure updates are occurring with all Continuous Improvement activities.
· Review processes using lean tools and documentation to eliminate waste, implement pull production, and make value flow.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
· Intermediate to advanced computer experience with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
· Experience with lean manufacturing tools and systems.
· Experience participating in kaizen events.
· Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to travel 5-10% of the time for training and development.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge or training of Six Sigma Continuous Improvement techniques.
- Experience coordinating and leading kaizen events.
- Knowledge of ISO guidelines.
- Bilingual in Spanish
