Job/Department Summary:

The Continuous Improvement Analyst I is a member of the Continuous Improvement team under the Project and Change Management Office (PCMO). Working independently under the general supervision of the Director of Continuous Improvement, they play a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of business process improvement projects and organizational change initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, conducting process assessments, documenting new processes, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes. The Analyst will collaborate closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align project objectives with the organization's business goals. This role requires a deep understanding of Continuous Improvement, project management methodologies, change management principles, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In addition, the incumbent will provide technical and administrative support for the PCMO and Division of IT's leadership team, as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

The knowledge, skills and abilities listed above would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or full-time equivalent training and one year of full time administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills: 

  • Bilingual
  • Change management or Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Three years of combined business process management and communications work experience.
  • Project and change management tools and methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.

Time Base: Full-time- 1.0

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 7:00-5:30. 

CSU Classification Salary Range: $42,216 - $81,492 per year.
