The Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for an instruction-focused (non-tenure-track) faculty position in Accounting at the Assistant Professor level. This 9-month Continuing Track position will be filled with an anticipated start date of August 2023. Continuing Track faculty begin with a two-year contract and are eligible for indefinite renewals. They are also eligible for promotion in academic rank and sabbaticals, but not tenure. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. (or expect to complete one by August 2023) in Accounting or a related field. Successful candidates will demonstrate the drive and vision to develop innovative, cutting-edge instructional programs. Candidates will be expected to teach courses in Accounting and Business Analytics. The Alfred Lerner College at UD has a joint program with the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), located in Chengdu, China. Candidates will support the SWUFE-UD Institute of Data Science joint program. Specifically, candidates' teaching will include courses taught at the SWUFE campus, involving one or two 5-8 week sessions at SWUFE per year. The remainder of the teaching would be at the Newark, Delaware main campus. CT Assistant professor candidates are further expected to contribute to the research environment, generate scholarly publications, and maintain faculty qualification status under AACSB accreditation standards.
