Content Marketing Writer

Firecrown, in relation with FreightWaves Media, is the provider of market, rate, economic, fuel, regulatory, and weather data and commentary for the freight industry. Our fast-growing team is seeking an experienced Content Marketing Writer, who will work closely with the Media Operations, Market Expert and Research teams to develop compelling thought leadership content for our media partners in the form of both articles and white papers. You will be responsible for research and writing great content and growing relationships for multiple accounts. This role will involve cross-functional and client-facing communications for content creation.

Firecrown is a dynamic and rapidly growing company that specializes in acquiring and managing the world's leading aviation and marine lifestyle publications in addition to freight news media and trends. Firecrown operates print and internet publications, e-commerce sites, marketplaces, develops aviation real estate, and provides financing solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Write journalism-style articles based on source interviews and research
• Create white papers in partnership with sponsored content partners and the FreightWaves Media Research and Market Expert teams
• Work with sponsored content partners to identify article topics, make edits and finalize content
• Manage time effective to allow for timely content delivery for several clients (20+) simultaneously
• Create and execute on content timelines alongside partners

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related work experience in Content Marketing (freight industry writing gets you bonus points)
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, English, or a related field
• Self-starter with excellent project/time management skills
• Understands how to achieve a balance of providing valuable content while delivering on clients’ goals and expectations
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with Wordpress preferred
• A team player who can work effectively with multiple teams to oversee program development and success
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and meetings per week
• Strategic, consultative approach to clients with the ability to understand their needs, create meaningful content and meet established timelines
