Broad Job Responsibilities
- Write/edit relevant, persuasive content for WatersEdge websites, print publications, advertisements, email communications, social media platforms and promotions (includes news and feature stories, blogs, press releases, social media posts, print and digital ads, direct mail, brochures, marketing collateral, displays, etc.)
- Generate/research/propose ideas for new content designed to engage audiences and move them to action
- Collaborate with director to create and manage an annual content calendar
- Develop/manage relationships with freelance writers, editors and other creatives
- Assist in the management of WatersEdge social media accounts
- Update and edit content on WatersEdge web properties
- Represent WatersEdge at events and conferences
- Assist in coordinating details/logistics for marketing campaigns, promotions, events
- Lead WatersEdge marketing efforts in director's absence
- Assist with various marketing initiatives as assigned by director
Job Classifications and Requirements
- This is a full time, non-exempt position.
- As a Christian organization, WatersEdge qualifies for a religious organization exception to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Therefore, this position requires active membership in a Southern Baptist church (which is defined as a church which is cooperating with Oklahoma Baptists) or in a faith-aligned, evangelical church which declares the Bible as the foundation for its faith and practice.
Working Environment
- This position generally works in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
- Travel and operation of a vehicle may be required.
