The Service Oklahoma (SOK) mission is to ease the stress in navigating government services by providing a best-in-class customer experience. We are Oklahomans helping Oklahomans by providing driver license and motor vehicle services on behalf of the state.
This position has a starting annual rate of $45,000 - $50,000, based on education/experience.
The Service Oklahoma offers a generous benefits package, including a benefits allowance to off-set the costs of medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans. The Service Oklahoma will match up to 7% towards an employee's Defined Contribution retirement plan. Our employees receive 11 paid holidays, 15 days of paid annual leave, which increases with every 5 years of service, and 15 days of paid sick leave. Additionally, employees will receive longevity payments based on their years of service with the State of Oklahoma.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Content Creator plays a key role in the Communications Division. This position is assigned duties and responsibilities involving filming and editing video, creating and publishing Digital Content, and assisting team members in the creation and execution of the division's internal and external communications strategies.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creates a wide variety of digital media content, including social media graphics, digital videos, web banners, digital publications, and flyers
  • Strategizes and prepares for the filming and creating of all video content for internal and external purposes, including social media, website, training, leadership presentations, and general publicity and marketing content
  • Performs digital design work from concept to completion
  • Develops creative briefs for video packages and photoshoots, offers creative feedback and provides an estimated filming timeline
  • Discusses ideas with the creative team prior to creation
  • Undertakes editing of film footage to produce high quality content
  • Ensures filming in proper lighting and audio clarity
  • Executes still photography as needed and edits images to brand standards
  • Provides and executes creative direction when inserting captions, graphics, special effects, and video texts
  • Manages multiple, simultaneous projects from beginning to end, while meeting all deadlines
  • Provides a high-quality, professional experience for all video and photography subjects and vendors
  • Performs the digital and print design work from concept to completion
  • Manages and organizes a large number of electronic files
  • Ensures all filming and photography equipment is ready and in proper working order; troubleshoots minor technical issues with camera equipment
  • Ensures consistency in filming and photography from start to finish
  • Maintains and updates equipment inventory
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Basic level knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs, including Illustrator CC, InDesign CC and Photoshop CC
  • Knowledgeable in web graphic standards
  • Proficient skills in typography and layout
  • Knowledge of color theory and management (CMYK, RGB, HEX)
  • Technical acumen to be able to operate, configure, set up, and fix video, audio, lighting, or other production equipment
  • Ability to capture snippets of film and be able to edit it into a cohesive story
  • Advanced knowledge in computerized tape editing software and equipment
  • Knowledge & understanding of post-production techniques
  • Ability to work in a variety of digital venues with software to edit and finish film work
  • Ability to Manual dexterity, physical mobility, and some physical strength/stamina
  • Organization skills to manage time efficiently while working on multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Skills in creativity and attention to detail
  • Ability to be flexible and work well under the pressure of multiple deadlines
  • Knowledge and skills in Apple OS X environment and also MS Office

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Preferred education/experience for this position consists of:
  • A technical or associate degree in visual communications, design, graphic or commercial art or closely related field, PLUS three years of experience in producing projects such as video content, digital marketing materials, or other related work using digital technology
  • OR sixty semester hours from a college or university with twelve semester hours in marketing, visual communications, mass communications, design, or advertising, PLUS three years of experience in producing Digital Content or other related marketing materials using digital technology
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The schedule for this position may require flexibility, including some weekends and overtime, based on the needs of the agency. This position is not eligible for telework at this time.

  • This position may require travel. The selected applicant must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to perform all job-related travel. Possession and maintenance of a valid Oklahoma Driver License is also required.

  • This position requires employees be able to lift 10-50 pounds on a regular basis, with assistance as needed.
