Qualifications: Experience and proficiency in the use of professional grade DSLR cameras.Proficiency with lighting equipment as it relates to video production and photography.Proficiency with utilizing audio equipment as it relates to video production.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and its associated applications.Working knowledge of Microsoft and macOS operating systems.Strong attention to detail and planning skills.Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.Online portfolio or demo reel of recent work preferred.Associate or bachelor's degree in media-related field preferred but not required. Primary Responsibilities:Utilize video production and photography skills to create social media content that promotes the benefits of academic and extracurricular offerings in the Lansing School District.Assist in the editing and preparation of digital content for final distribution.Collaborate with members of the Communications Department, Lansing School District staff, and specified community partners to identify promotional opportunities.Assist in the preparation, preproduction, and live stream of identified Lansing School District events.Consistently utilize creativity and initiative to meet content deadlines.
Physical Demands:Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear;Standing and walking for long periods of time;Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;Regularly required to use close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
