Consumer/Automotive Supply Chain Specialist Leader

The Team
Our Supply Chain Networks team assists clients in transforming their value chains into strategic assets. We enhance efficiency, improve flexibility, and boost responsiveness through proactive insights and decision-making. We advise, implement, and operate transformational solutions that introduce world-class supply network and operational capabilities to our clients. We offer operational expertise, digital technologies, advanced analytics, and industry-specific hybrid solutions to deliver unparalleled client value. Additionally, we enhance operations, product, and material flow throughout the value chain and generate greater supply network synergy and value through M&A events.
Work You'll Do
As a Specialist Leader, you will lead and execute large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement innovative business and technology solutions for large companies. You will contribute to the firm's growth and development in various ways, including:
Engagement Management:
Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; ensure timely, high-quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics and risk.
Relationship Management:
Maintain contact with top decision-makers at key clients, organize and lead teams, and contribute to the development of practical solutions.
Practice Development & Eminence:
Develop practical solutions and methodologies, create "thoughtware" and "point-of-view" documents, participate in public speaking events, and get published in industry periodicals.
People Development:
Act as a counselor and coach, provide input and guidance into the staffing process, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, and support delivery teams and staff in local offices.
Qualifications Required:
  • 8+ years of experience in the Consumer Products or Automotive Industry is essential, either as an internal consultant within the industry or serving consulting clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive growth in the business.
  • Proven track record in leading and presenting proposal presentations, managing large complex engagements, and building and maintaining executive client relationships.
  • Experience in market differentiation as a senior subject matter expert, driving thought leadership and eminence through white papers, conference speaking, and developing tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to mentor and develop staff to share expertise and promote the use of standard methodologies, quality, and risk management.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Visa-Sponsorship - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Consulting experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on business transformation, renewable energy, and technology innovation, such as hydrogen fuel cells.
  • Demonstrated experience in initiating and scaling new business ventures, alongside optimizing operational processes within a global automotive context.
  • Strong project management and delivery experience, including the ability to oversee significant budgets and lead Supply Chain innovations.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and manage diverse teams, reflecting strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and juggle multiple tasks, showcasing exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities, including proficiency with MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $168,000 to $341,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
