The Consumer Loan Processor is responsible for the various duties related to processing and funding all Consumer Loans including Direct, Indirect, Business Express and Credit Cards, to ensure that loan documents are collected and processed in accordance with Credit Union, State and Federal policies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review all consumer, credit card, business express and indirect loans to verify that proper information has been collected, completed, and approved under the Credit Union guidelines.
- Process all consumer, credit cards, business express and indirect loan documents in preparation of the disbursement of funds.
- Consistently meet individual production goals.
- Build and retain relationships with 3rd party vendors.
- Knowledge and ability to undo and /or correct loan after loaded to the Core system.
- Effectively interact (written or verbal) with all staff throughout the credit union.
- Support the day-to-day planning and operations set by the Loan Processing Manager so that the team meets the required level of service or production.
- Advocate, promote and create honest and open communication throughout the credit union.
- Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union's values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the workflow or process is providing the best service to the members.
Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in a financial institution.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Strong customer service skills, communication (verbal & written), interpersonal and documentation skills.
- Good time management and problem resolution skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to be bonded.
