Position Overview:

Under general supervision, but in accordance with established lending policies and procedures, receives and reviews applications for consumer credit. Meets with applicants to explain credit policies and to obtain additional loan documentation. Assembles loan applications and approves loans that meet established lending criteria and are within approval lending limits. Presents loan requests above lending limit to senior Loan Officer and/or other appropriate groups. Consistently delivers an experience that leaves customers with a positive emotional impression of the bank, its employees and products & services. Responds to sales opportunities using the delivered sales presentation model.

Primary Duties:

  • Demonstrates “The Will to Win” by being nice, creating and responding to sales opportunities, asking customers to stay and open an account, and following the rules for the 99%.
  • Delivers the Checking Sales Presentation by following the defined 8 step model.
  • Consistently participates in the Tell-A-Friend Program.
  • Obtains loan request information from dealers to analyze credit information, financial statements and other related information pertaining to the loan.
  • Approves indirect retail loans according to bank policy and procedures.
  • Scanning and filing of borrower information.
  • Communicating with Indirect Lenders.
  • Dealer calls within a 3 hour radius of branch.
  • Follows all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepares loan packages in accordance with financial institution standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous banking or lending experience helpful but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
