We are hiring a highly motivated Consumer Compliance Analyst to help us strengthen our compliance program. This is a highly visible role with valuable and meaningful work.
You will independently lead the efforts to strengthen our Consumer Compliance program and provide effective solutions to support the fast-paced growth in the U.S. and Canada.
Responsibilities
- Respond to regulatory and contractually mandated requests from business partners;
- Write formal responses to consumers, as well as federal and state regulatory agencies;
- Coordinate timely responses with risk, legal, compliance, customer support, and payments teams;
- Analyze complaint data to identify trends and root causes, providing insights for process improvements and product enhancements;
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent recurring complaints and enhance customer
- satisfaction;
- Prepare management for regulatory meetings by independently creating strategic arguments, including summarized action and talking points;
- Review products and activities from a Consumer Compliance perspective;
- Review marketing material for Consumer Compliance risks; provide recommendations to Product, Legal, and Compliance teams;
- Undertake special compliance-related projects, which will improve the customer experience;
- Work closely with senior management to optimize local compliance operational excellence;
- Prepare monthly and quarterly complaints metrics for Senior Management and the Board.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree;
- 5+ years of experience; prior project management experience at a bank, broker-dealer, or money services business;
- Experience in consumer protection, UDAAP, regulatory consumer protection regulations (such as CFPB and OSFI);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to make complex topics easily understood;
- Strong research, critical thinking, organizational, and writing skills;
- Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence, accuracy, and quality;
- Experience managing multiple projects or activities simultaneously, delivering accurate results in a timely manner.
