Job Summary and QualificationsThe Division Consulting Technical Analyst (DCTA) will be a resource to the technical personnel assigned to the division facilities/practices and coordinates consistent support of technical services and implementation activity within the division. This individual also assists in organization of highly complex issues regarding technical services, assists in facility/practice technical projects, assists in developing strategies for training and tools for Technical Services across the division, and participates in onboarding new technical staff.
The DCTA champions standardization, utilization, optimization, and use of best practices in Technical Services. The DCTA participates in facility-based project planning, strategic planning, and supplements on-site support to technical resources, as needed. The DCTA will understand and support a broad range of division-based IT&S equipment, define standards, and create supporting technical documentation. Advanced hands-on technical support is provided across a broad range of technical areas and this position will act as part of a mobile project team, as needed. Problems beyond the scope of ability or responsibility of the facility technical team are communicated in a timely manner to appropriate division-level support staff.
The DCTA will act in concert with Division departments and Facility IT staff. The DCTA adheres to and supports HCA IT policies and procedures, and recommends process changes that improve the implementation, maintenance and support of facility-based IT equipment.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Meets with division-level IT teams, as needed, to align strategy, services, and coordinate implementation activities
• Builds and maintains relationships with business operations, IT&S leaders, and vendors
• Ensures that the design and use of technology adhere to established division and HCA policies, procedures, and standards
• Assists the director in the development of the budget and develops project cost estimates for division and/or facilities
• Creates an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-training, and process improvement within the area and across organizational boundaries
• Drives standardization and documentation relating to Facility Technical Analyst roles. Establishes role benchmarks.
• Mentors and trains Facility Technical Analysts. Acts as a knowledge resource to technical teams.
• Participates in division-based IT project planning, and execution, as needed
• Participates in meetings, committees and continuing education to improve individual, departmental and organizational performance
• Logs and tracks incident SLAs; reviews incident and request tracking databases; comparative reporting; dashboard creation and monitoring
• Collaboratively works with division and corporate IT&S personnel to ensure that division priorities an standards are achieved
• Implements and supports the broadest range of division-based IT&S equipment, including but not limited to network equipment, servers, terminals, personal computers, printers, cabling, related software products.
• Communicates and escalates incidents and requests beyond scope of ability to senior service resources
• Investigates hardware problems and performs minor system hardware and communication connection repairs
• Aids and trains users on proper use of division and/or facility technology
• Adheres to and supports HCA and Capital Division IT&S standards, policies and procedures
• Maintains and protects confidentiality with regard to all aspects of patient care and employee information
• Managing and communicating a clear vision of project objectives and motivating team members
• Understanding and communicating the definition of completion criteria (what constitutes ‘done’)
• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
• Is available for critical event escalations in a support capacity.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
5+ years
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Other as Noted: Certifications in Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, Project related are preferred.

• Project management experience; Provides onsite technology support on projects

• Effectively communicates verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications
• Must be able to travel to remote facilities (local travel only)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
