About the Opportunity
The Ellucian Professional Services team is looking for an energetic, dynamic, and collaborative Senior Integration Engineer (Senior Consultant) to assist customers in building integration infrastructure that supports our SaaS and Data Integration strategy. This impactful and high-visibility role demands someone who can forge strong relationships and develop strategies for Ethos Integration, the central nervous system of the modern, connected higher education campus. As a Integration Engineer (Consultant), you will integration development projects that support core functionalities essential for running higher education businesses. You will analyze business requirements to ensure integrations are effectively incorporated into the modern technology ecosystem. Your role will involve ensuring that delivered technology solutions align with enterprise strategies and adhere to target reference architectures by applying sound architectural principles and best practices, as well as following the client’s IT governance processes and guidelines. This role is pivotal in developing our next-generation services and capabilities for cloud maturation. You will contribute to our key technology strategy, focusing on service architecture that integrates various products and solutions across the enterprise. This is a high-impact, high-visibility opportunity to leverage your expertise and make a significant difference.
Where will you make an impact
- Work with a dynamic team of developers and other peers to build and test the application according to the prepared specifications
- Create and execute accurate unit test cases to ensure thorough integration testing of a customization before delivery
- Strong communication and analytical skills with demonstrable presentation and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated aptitude for logical application of problem solving techniques.
- Stay current with Ellucian applications
- Have an aptitude to learn; learn new technologies quickly
What you will bring
- 2-3 yrs of experience working strong technology company.
- Exhibits a strong sense of ownership for individual work assignments
- Experience working independently with little direction and still achieve goals as well as working remotely in a team environment via phone and other electronic communication tools.
- Brings an established, effective method for tracking and completing tasks on time.
- Prefers a collaborative work environment over working solo, with a bias towards sharing credit for achievement over individual recognition.
- Possesses programming experience with JavaScript, React, Node JS, Oracle SQL and Restful Web Services.
Desired Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Tomcat, Linux, AWS
- Java technology stack (Groovy/Grails, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS)
- Version Control expertise with GIT
- Experience with Oracle Database 11g/12c integration with middleware and web components.
