Hui Huliau is seeking a Construction Superintendent to support our construction management team in Maui, Hawaii. This is an immediate hire. Summary:The Project Superintendent provides leadership, and mentoring in all Construction procedures, industry standards, mathematics, data analysis, schedules, quality, safety, and productivity.
Ensures all work is performed in accordance with (IAW) the terms and conditions of the contract, schedule, safely and consistently within the established standards in this PWS and contract. The project superintendent must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in construction as a superintendent. The individual must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Manage all Construction Activities and Phasing, Procedures, Specifications, Approved Submittals, Industry Standards, Schedule Analysis, Quality, Safety, Productivity, and Statistics/Metrics. Ensuring all construction team processes for all contract programs, plans, reports, and other submittals are tracked and submitted to the government accurately and on time. Manage fiscal responsibility for all site related Construction Functions/Actions.
Ensure Accurate and Responsive Reporting on all Construction Metrics. Manage Team Safety, Quality, Productivity, Scheduling, Actions/Activities. Assists in development and implementation of the Project Schedule, Logistical, and Phasing Plans.
SRS assists with the monthly project schedule completion and percentages to the PM. Assists with the weekly meetings Develops weekly or more project team meetings to ensure all site members are actively engaged in following the project PWI and Schedules. Determines site means and methods as best fit for the project conditions, safety, staffing and phasing.
Leads others to the benefit of the project. Ability to read, understand and implement the project schedule. Ability to lead others to success.
Understanding the Definable Features of Work (DFOW), 3-Phase Construction Inspection Process, Daily Reports, Site Safety, Quality Control methods and reporting. Effectively completing any deficiency item and punch-list item. Working Hours/Days: Performed onsite with work in construction environments.
The Project Superintendent general work hours will be 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Sunday per the government contract. We do have teams in place that will give time off.
