SUPERINTENDENT
- Full-Time - Exempt:
- Salary: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 - Based on Experience
OVERVIEW
Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work and adherence to the budget meet all requirements of the contract documents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
- Coordinate and inspect sub-contractor work to ensure compliance with contract documents including drawings, specifications, submittals, quality control, and safety requirements.
- Identify and communicate all problems and areas of concern to Project Manager.
- Document daily on-site activities and progress including manpower, work performed, inspections, deliveries, delays, weather conditions - with narrative and photos.
- Coordinate and hold regular meetings with subcontractors to ensure project is on schedule and subcontractors understand the project plans and specifications.
- Identify and communicate site safety concerns, conditions, and problems.
- Maintain and prepare various daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Implement and enforce accident prevention plans.
- Implement and maintain the project quality control plan including the 3 phases of control.
- Perform daily quality control inspections and reporting.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, project manager and assistant project manager.
- Assist project manager with schedule development, updates, progress reports, and look ahead reports.
- Prepare punch lists.
- Maintain SDS (MSDS) list of hazardous materials on site.
- Occasionally take on tasks outside the normal scope of your job.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree, plus a minimum of five years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- OSHA 30 certification
- USACE CQM Certification
- USACE EM385 – 40 Hour
- CPR & First Aid Certificate
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions, work with minimal supervision and exercise discretion and judgment regarding matter of significance.

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
The employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
