The Opportunity
Lonestar Forklift is looking for a Construction Sales Specialist to join our team in Houston or San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for actively building your customer base in your assigned territory.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Construction Sales Specialist for Lonestar, your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the sales and rental strategy in your assigned territory, including managing customer target accounts, prospecting, sales lead follow-ups, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
- Review and provide input on target client opportunities while ensuring alignment within the overall account strategy
- Forecast, deliver, and adjust accounts to ensure success against contract terms
- Coordinate with product experts to identify and capitalize on expansion and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
- Follow up with customers on orders, quotes, and service requested; undertake activities to guarantee the sale, such as sourcing competitor information and analyzing competitor product offerings, application, and pricing to overcome client objections
- Retain and grow business relationships with top accounts by proactively identifying opportunities and presenting innovative solutions
- Turn leads into sales, and negotiate prices to make deals
- Identify and build relationships with decision makers within existing accounts, creating an ongoing relationship strategy
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- 2-3 years of previous B2B sales experience preferred
- Post-secondary education in Sales, Business Management, or a related discipline is considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
- Confident and resilient, with a willingness to continuously learn and grow
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel
- Previous experience working within a CRM system is considered an asset
- Maintaining a valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to travel within the region as needed

The pay range for this role is: $90,000 base salary plus uncapped commission.
This is a hybrid role based in Houston or San Antonio, Texas.
