Job Description:
The Safety Officer is responsible for the safety and health of all employees, contractors, and visitors at the pharmaceutical plant construction project. The position requires a highly motivated and experienced individual who can implement and maintain a comprehensive safety program, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, Traffic Control and other applicable regulations. Reports administratively to the Operations Manager and, depending on the assignment, may work under the supervision of the Project Manager or the President.

Essential Functions:
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive safety program that complies with OSHA regulations, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop and deliver safety training to employees, contractors, and visitors, including topics related to traffic control.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the worksite to identify and eliminate potential hazards, including traffic-related hazards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and develop and implement corrective actions, including those related to traffic control.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and take disciplinary action when necessary, including those related to traffic control.
- Maintain accurate records of safety activities and accident data, including those related to traffic control.
- Collaborate with management and supervisors to integrate safety into all phases of the project, including the planning and implementation of traffic control.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest safety regulations and standards, including those related to traffic control.
Additional Responsabilities:
1. Develop and implement a traffic control plan for the project.
2. Oversee the installation and maintenance of traffic signs, cones, and other traffic control devices.
3. Ensure that drivers and pedestrians comply with traffic safety regulations.
Investigate traffic accidents and develop and implement corrective actions.
