PURPOSE: The construction and rental sales specialist is responsible for growing sales at rental accounts and key construction and pipeline contractors.  This individual is accountable for reaching sales goals, maintaining customer relationships and representing the company in a highly professional manner.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Manages the territory covered by the following regional offices:  Northeast, Mid Ohio, Ohio Valley, Great Lakes, Midwest, North Central and Central
  • Grow business and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders at national and key regional rental houses
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies for the rental channel
  • Be the strategic national account leader for key construction and pipeline contractor accounts and engage at all levels of the customer
  • Identify large scale projects in region and work with the local Lincoln office to convert opportunities
  • Work closely with SBU leaders to identify equipment trends
  • Support national trade shows and associations to increase opportunities
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed 

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S. degree, engineering preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of field sales experience and large account responsibility (Minimum 8 years for level III or 10 for a level IV)
  • Effectively employ positive communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone or in teams; fosters and maintains positive working relationships
  • Exhibits a thorough understanding of Lincoln products
  • Must be proactive, offer follow-through when applicable, and resolve issues when required
  • Proficient in MS Office including:  Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational skills with an understanding on how to effectively drive growth on projects
  • Ability to work well with all levels within Lincoln Electric and external organizations
  • Must be willing to travel and 40-50% overnight travel likely
  • Live near a major airport within the territory
  • Selected candidate’s Job Level and Pay Grade will be determined based upon qualifications and experience.
