About the Job – Essential Duties

This solicitation ranges from entry to senior-level candidates.

For entry-level candidates, this position develops with you. Beginning as a Project Engineer, you will assist the Project Management and Estimating team on various aspects of project engagement. As you progress, so will the intricacy of your tasks. Existing skills will be taken into account and will eventually develop into the following:

Senior-level candidates are welcome to apply for the Project Manager role.

Estimating:

• Prepare estimates for new projects.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and solicit material quotations.
• Assist clients with budgeting and value engineering.

Change Orders/Submittals/Shop Drawings:

• Price change orders and submit requests to clients.
• Provide budget and change order information to the Project Manager/field personnel.
• Maintain the Change Order log.
• Material Submittals; technical documents, engineering reports – as needed (produced by others), coordination drawings – as needed.
• Material Sample Submittals.
• Specification review.
• Prepare and assemble shop drawings – as needed.

Daily Duties:

• Coordination with General Contractors, Project Managers, and General Superintendents.
• Assist in job correspondence.
• Maintain project log.
• Providing updated plans and schedules to all appropriate parties.
• Initiate and manage all Requests for Information (RFI’s), as needed.

Evaluations:

• Costs (Labor/Materials).
• Miscellaneous scheduling, equipment needs, personnel needs, job safety, and quality control.
• Relay problems, changes, or recommendations to the project team.
• Coordination with the Warehouse Operations Manager on delivery to achieve the optimal use of material, labor, and equipment.
• Coordination with the General Superintendent on-field personnel to achieve the optimal use of material, labor, and equipment.
• Maintain contact and quality working relationships with the public, engineers, inspectors, trade partners, and general contractors to promote a positive working environment.

  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 25lbs
• Background Check for Badging/Security Clearance (if applicable)

Position Qualifications:

• Associate/Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education, or related field experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $120,000 (Experience-dependent)

Hours of work: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
