Duties and Responsibilities:  Deliver Training Programs: You will be responsible for conducting training sessions and practical exercises to teach students the basic operational techniques and safety protocols of operating efficiently on a construction site.
Provide Theory Instruction: Apart from practical training, you will deliver theoretical lessons that cover important topics including equipment features, controls, and understanding job site plans.
Demonstrate Equipment Operation: You will instruct proper equipment operation techniques while emphasizing safety procedures such as pre-operation inspections, normal operations, signaling, and preventative equipment maintenance.
Monitor and Track Student Progress: It will be your responsibility to assess students' progress throughout the training program, identifying areas that require improvement, and providing additional guidance as needed.
Ensure Safety: As an instructor, you must enforce strict safety protocols during training sessions to guarantee the well-being of students and promote a safe working environment.
Foster a Positive Learning Environment: You should create an inclusive and supportive training atmosphere to encourage student engagement and foster a positive learning experience.

Required Experience:  Experience in Construction Operations: Prior experience and a strong understanding of operating equipment is essential for this role.
Training or Teaching Experience: While not mandatory, experience in delivering training programs or teaching in a related field will be beneficial.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively convey instructions and provide feedback to students.
Patience and Adaptability: The ability to remain patient, adapt to different learning styles, and provide individualized instruction will be crucial in this role.
Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety guidelines throughout the training process is essential.
Certification/License: Possession of necessary certifications/licenses for operating equipment is beneficial.
A high school diploma or GED and three to five years' experience operating equipment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.

Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
