Job Description
This individual will report directly to the Project Director and will be responsible for supervising a team of Field Superintendents to oversee completion of CSA, Mechanical and E&I lump sum construction contracts.
Manages all on site construction functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the Client overseeing work performed by the CSA, Mechanical and E&I contractors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Execute project specific and client driven goals, schedules, budgets, strategy and detailed assumptions with methodology for accomplishing and/or managing goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain rapport with client representatives and ensure that the scopes of project and outside business forces affecting the project is fully understood and that specific deliverables are fully understood with performance standards and other relevant criteria.
  • Act as the primary contact for all lump sum construction contractors throughout the duration of the project in the management of information requests (RFI) and change orders (CO) that are generated by the lump sum contractors.
  • Facilitate initiation of all critical construction meetings and coordination exercises with internal staff, key stakeholders, and external users to ensure responsibilities are efficiently, accurately and effectively communicated and understood by all concerned.
  • Ensure that work fronts are available when needed and manage interfaces between all lump sum contractors to ensure that schedule delays are avoided, notify the Project Director and Planner/Schedule when issues arise and lead in the resolution of any and all contractor interface and schedule related issues.
  • Manage construction performance against schedules, scheduled milestones and critical path items and ensure project schedule updates and quantity surveillance and/or milestones are property tracked and updated.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk (fee, our reputation, errors and omissions, etc.) to Project Director, Project Cost Control Manager and Planner/Scheduler.
  • Ensure that Project Director is fully and accurately informed of all project, internal, and contractor issues affecting the performance of the work and issues that could affect the reputation of the client.
  • Ensure that all materials and equipment are properly received, stored, maintained, transported, and installed in accordance with the project scope.
  • Ensure that all final project checkouts, sign offs and turnover documents are developed and schedule final turnover walkthroughs with members of the contractor and company project team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Preference towards a Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 7-10 years as a Project Manager or similar role on projects with TIC greater than $100MM
  • Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to client and team to achieve project goals
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial drawings.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients as well as external team members (architects, contractors, client's representatives, etc.).
  • Ability to manage all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to entitling, budgeting, scheduling, submittals, change orders & execution.
  • Experience with Industrial, Chemical, Oil & Gas and Incinerator projects preferred.
  • Fully competent at managing a team of field superintendents
  • Knowledge of Google office management tools.
