- 1. Assist in the preparation of construction sites by cleaning and organizing materials.
- 2. Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- 3. Transport materials to and from the work area as directed by the supervisor.
- 4. Provide support to carpenters and other team members by holding materials, tools, or assisting in measurements.
- 5. Perform basic carpentry tasks, such as cutting lumber or assembling components under supervision.
- 6. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- 7. Assist in the installation of support structures, ensuring stability and safety.
- 8. Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- 9. Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use.
- 10. Dispose of construction debris and waste properly.
- 11. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
- 12. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to receive and understand instructions.
- 13. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- 14. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work site, promoting efficiency and safety.
- 15. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall success of the deck building projects.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary
