Responsibilities:
- Assist with field operations, including site visits, inspections, and documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to support project planning and execution.
- Gain hands-on experience in various aspects of commercial construction, ranging from renovations to ground-up construction.
- Assist in coordinating subcontractors and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Support the preconstruction phase, including estimating, bidding, and proposal preparation.
- Contribute to project documentation, such as progress reports, change orders, and permits.
- Participate in meetings and presentations to clients, providing valuable insights and updates.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a construction-related degree program or equivalent.
- Strong interest in the construction industry, with a desire to gain practical experience.
- Solid understanding of construction principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software.
- Previous field experience or exposure to construction projects is a plus.
Compensation:
- Starting salary at $15.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on construction knowledge and year in school.
