Are you an experienced Construction Inspector looking for a challenging role where you can make a difference? We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to join our team as a Permanent Construction Inspector. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, innovative team in the engineering industry. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our construction projects, utilizing your skills in field testing, inspection, sampling, and testing of various construction materials.
Responsibilities
As a Construction Inspector, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting field inspections and tests on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc., to ensure they meet project specifications and standards.
2. Operating the Nuclear Density Gauge to measure the density and moisture content of construction materials.
3. Interpreting and applying ACI, AASHTO, ICC, and other relevant standards and codes in the inspection and testing process.
4. Collaborating with the engineering team to resolve any issues identified during the inspection process and recommending appropriate corrective actions.
5. Preparing detailed inspection reports, documenting the results of inspections and tests, and maintaining accurate records.
6. Ensuring compliance with environmental engineering principles and regulations during construction.
7. Providing technical guidance and training to junior inspection staff.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction inspection, field testing, and related activities in the engineering industry.
2. Certification or significant experience in ACI Concrete Field Testing and operation of Nuclear Density Gauge.
3. Proficiency in interpreting and applying ACI, AASHTO, ICC, and other relevant standards and codes.
4. Experience in geotechnical and environmental engineering.
5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
