Ironworks, a Missouri-based, independently owned equipment remanufacturing company, has an immediate opening for a Construction Equipment Inspector in St Joseph, MO. This position will be responsible for keeping equipment & part records, overseeing performance of equipment diagnostics & repair of a variety of material handling equipment including but not limited to – aerial lifts, forklifts & scissor lifts.

This is a full-time, hourly position. Requiring hands on physical shop work & office skills. Monday – Thursday, 10-hour days (40+ hour work week). Hourly pay rate based on experience, ($24-$30 per hour)

Duties:

Equipment knowledge (Aerial Equipment)

Test & Inspect Equipment

Completes required paperwork efficiently and timely.

Experience with heavy equipment repair (i.e. boom, aerial lifts etc.)

Mechanical background, knowledge of various engine performance, engine repair and electrical systems

Attention to detail.

Good verbal/written communication skills.

Computer skills (excel)

Dependability

Other duties assigned as needed.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferably experience in a related field. Must be able to lift/move approximately 50-70 lbs. Must be able to remain standing approximately 75% of the time. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting & reaching. Effective written and oral communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and diagram. (Preferred, but not required).
