Construction Dispatcher

Lorditch Talent Group is working with a busy hauling and excavation company looking to add a Dispatcher to their team for their fleet of 21 trucks. Candidates should have the following..

-Candidate should have Excellent organizational skills.

-Excellent communication skills both written and orally.

-Candidate must be able to multitask in a fast-paced changing environment.

- Manage a team of 20-21 triaxle truck drivers.

- Communicate with customers effectively via phone to gain vital job details to service the customer efficiently. Obtaining detailed job information is crucial to the customer and the company’s success.

·- Geographical knowledge of Philadelphia and surrounding areas.

- Manage schedule and ensure all routes are covered. Ensure the trucks are being dispatched accordingly to the customer’s needs. i.e. hourly, per load, type of truck body needed, waste hauler permit needed, type of stone, etc.

- Assist drivers with problems/issues as they arise (during the day or at the end of the route)

- Approve and notate drivers time off requests and schedules.

- Review for accuracy all driver’s paperwork at the beginning and end of routes.

- Communicate performance standards and objectives.

- Communicate with the owner/management of company daily to ensure adequate details are met and communicated accordingly.

- Communicate effectively with mechanic staff to appropriately handle truck maintenance as well as communications between operators, drivers, and other team members to effectively coordinate job responsibilities.

- Assist with coordinating safety meetings and topics.

- Ensure driver qualifications are met and process new hires accordingly.

- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine accountability and proceed with handling the matters accordingly per company policy.

- Provide adequate documentation counseling based on employee handbook and safety guidelines.

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
