Active Top Secret Clearance with Poly Required
Salary Range: Up to $140K **salary is commensurate with education and experience**
Job Summary
The Sponsor’s office developed a ServiceNow tool that is critical to its successful IT Service Management operations. The Sponsor requires cloud engineering, technical configuration management and data analytics support for its ServiceNow team. Work will include integrating with the current ServiceNow development team to manage the current cloud infrastructure, implement cybersecurity updates and associated documentation, fulfill the Sponsor’s continuous monitoring requirements, develop and execute a release management strategy, and perform database management tasks, as required.
**Please note: This job requires an existing Top Secret Clearance and Polygraph**
Responsibilities and Duties
The team shall work closely with the current ServiceNow development team and Product Owner to ensure that the ServiceNow cloud infrastructure, builds, and database meets the Sponsor’s cybersecurity, performance, data integrity, and functional requirements.
- The Team shall maintain and modify, as necessary, the team’s current cloud infrastructure in accordance with the Sponsor’s cybersecurity, data management and audit policies.
- The Team shall identify opportunities and propose solutions to optimize the Sponsor’s cloud infrastructure.
- The Team shall modify the project’s cloud infrastructure to operate in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- The Team shall develop a robust monitoring program to identify system anomalies throughout the entire system
- The Team shall develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms using enterprise DevOps tools wherever possible.
- The Team shall develop, in coordination with the development team, an automated release management strategy that leverages industry best practices for DevOps.
- The Team shall review and approve release candidates for promotion from the development and test environments into production.
- The Team shall write user facing release notes that describe the features that are included in each production build.
- The Team shall develop configuration management documentation.
- The Team shall coordinate with other Sponsor organizations to make changes to the enterprise ServiceNow instance.
- The Team shall optimize the ServiceNow database to allow for the creation of advanced reports.
- The Team shall coordinate with the Sponsor’s data warehouse team to develop views and queries to maximize the performance of the Sponsor’s ServiceNow application.
- The Team shall ensure the integrity of the data as it passes through multiple systems.
- The Team shall optimize existing reports and dashboards to reduce development time.
Experience Needed:
- Citizenship:Must Be a US Citizen
- Existing Clearance Required:Active Top Secret SCI with Poly
- SME Level experience required
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing configuration management standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrated experience using code repositories and version control systems.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing software code to select release candidates and resolve conflicts.
Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not required to perform the work include:
- Demonstrated experience with the ServiceNow platform.
- Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s security accreditation process.
- Demonstrated experience developing and deploying software in a continuous integration, continuous deployment paradigm.
- Demonstrated experience with the Software Development Lifecycle.
