OM Group, Inc., a leading government contractor for the Department of Defense (DoD), is seeking a highly skilled and detail oriented Configuration Manager with expertise in software licensing to join our dynamic team based in Ogden, Utah. OM Group, Inc. is a fast-growing Microsoft Azure and AWS Partner delivering full-stack cloud services for Federal & DoD clients. We are building a Data Center Sustainment and Modernization Center of Excellence (DCM-CoE) to continue and evolve on-prem/cloud/hybrid application hosting platforms, automate application onboarding processes, modernize compute and storage architecture design, improve system and infrastructure cybersecurity posture, and implement strong quality and configuration management practices. We are looking for an experienced QA Configuration Management Engineer to join our team! This position is in Ogden, UT.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Configuration Management, encompassing process engineering, implementation, and enforcement of configuration management and automation procedures.
- Identify and maintain baselines for virtual and physical equipment, managing configuration items and Configuration Management (CM) documentation.
- Define and implement software configuration management processes and procedures, including the creation of product build scripts and integration with the software build process.
- Implement version control processes, policies, and procedures.
- Provide hands-on collaboration with development, QA, and software support teams.
- Monitor quality and develop Quality Assurance (QA) documents.
- Baseline, version, and control existing systems documentation.
- Chair Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and ensure adherence to established CM charter, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent additional years of experience
- 5+ years of proven successful experience as a Configuration Manager, with a focus on software licensing in government or defense contracting environments
- In-depth knowledge of configuration management tools and practices
- Familiarity with relevant government regulations and compliance standards
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- NDIA Configuration and Data Management certification
- Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one
- IAT Level II certification, ideally as a Security+ CE
